With 10 years of municipal experience, Aaron C. Miller currently serves as the Town of Livermore’s Administrative Assistant and Tax Collector, replacing Amy Byron.

Miller, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Norwich University, previously served in an administrative support position at the state’s Department of Marine Resources prior to joining the Town of Livermore in September 2020.  

Before working for the State of Maine, he served the Town of Whitefield as Administrative Assistant, Town Clerk, Deputy Treasurer, Assistant Tax Collector, Registrar of Voters, and General Assistance Administrator from 2012-2018. He continues to serve Whitefield as a volunteer firefighter and first responder. He began his public service career when he was hired in 2009 by the Town of Boothbay Harbor as a Deputy Town Clerk following a 10-year-stint in journalism writing for daily and weekly newspapers throughout Maine.

Since joining Livermore he has proposed an Economic Development Committee to assist town officials with reviewing ordinances and proposing any changes. This committee will aid the town in making recommendations on strategies for stimulating business expansion and retention of existing businesses. We are always looking for ways to save taxpayers money. Over the past year, he has assisted in securing almost $20,000 in grants.
